Lab technician in Canada

So I am interested in pursuing lab technician jobs anywhere in canada at mining sites. I am willing to go to any territory or province. I was wondering how competitive it is? I have a degree in biophysics and only 5 months of experience doing some water prep and labelling for an environmental science company. It seems to be difficult to get lab jobs overall.
