Filet crochet. Filet crochet everywhere.

Is it just me and my algorithm or is there a resurgence of filet crochet lately?

A few weeks ago I decided to make myself little curtains in filet crochet. My mom used to make them when I was a kid and called them "rideaux bonne femme" or "lady curtains".

I don't know if I was influenced by seeing a lot of filet crochet or if the fact that I got into it influenced my algorithm on reddit, tiktok, youtube and instagram, but all I've been seeing lately is filet crochet everywhere!

Don't get me wrong I love this but I was wondering if it had always been there or if there's been a trend of filet crochet recently? What do you think?

For context I've been crochetting for 3 years and make mostly clothes and accessories, home decor items and flowers.
