Is there a way to download lossless music ad-hoc instead of all or nothing?

Apologies if this has been asked before, my research was inconclusive. I've had interest in trying out listening to lossless music, but from what I can tell the preference in settings for changing song quality from AAC to lossless applies that to your whole library.

I have a large library and ideally I don't want to convert everything or download everything in lossless going forward. Is there any way around that to have songs of mixed quality, or does Apple Music only allow your library to be in one quality across the board? Thank you.
