Watchers From Nowhen - My Novel About The Phenomenon
Hi everyone! I hope I’m not overstepping in any way with this post, and if I am, I will understand if it needs to be deleted. But after three years of work, I have published a novel (and an audiobook) about “the phenomenon” and I feel like this community would be most likely to “get” what I’m trying to do with it.
The book deals primarily with the ontological questions that come with the phenomenon, as the main character struggles to come to grips with the way he feels the cosmos molding to him and his experiences, with the NHI’s apparent fixation on the state of his “soul,” and with the skyrocketing synchronicities that take over his life.
Being a novel, I did add a little bit of “dramatic flair” to the whole thing, but overall I did my best to portray what it’s actually like for a person to become involved in this phenomenon, based on years of reading both professional researchers like John Mack, Preston Dennett and Jacques Vallee, as well as more informal reports from communities like this one.
As a funny/interesting side note, I was visited by a praying mantis while writing a scene for this novel that involves the mantis beings, and I posted about it in this sub here:

Anyway, if anyone is interested, there is a link to the book/ebook/audiobook at the bottom of this post. Again, I totally understand if this kind of “self-promotion” is not allowed here and needs to be taken down (I read the community rules and I don’t THINK I’ve violated them). I just feel that one way or another, this phenomenon poses some of the most important questions we have about the human experience as a whole, and as an artist I wanted to address them somehow. I would be VERY interested in input/feedback, from this community specifically, regarding how I’ve represented these experiences, and other ways we can communicate the importance of all this artistically.
