Penis Injury from cock ring

I’m just writing about this to see if anyone else has had a similar experience, there’s not a ton of information about this online.

Pretty much I was having sex with a cock ring for the first time, only had it on for about 5 minutes but it was definitely too tight. I could tell something wasn’t right immediately after but it seemed like a non emergency. It was really sore for maybe a week and there ended up being like a bruise on the bottom area of my tip (like maybe 25% of the total tip).

Whatever I figured it would heal on its own and really wasn’t worried about it. I pretty much continued normal sexual activity after like a week, and everything functions totally fine. Girls either didn’t notice the discoloration or didn’t say anything. But I was experiencing some pain when having sex or masturbating. So eventually I realize ok this isn’t going to magically go away, I need to refrain from all sexual activity for a while. So like 5 months after inital injury, I abstain for about a month but when I go back after a couple times I still felt a little soreness. And the bruising discoloration is still there. So I take another month break. Discoloration is still there, not sure how it will feel when I resume activity.

I talked to my doctor about it and he is referring me to a urologist just to rule out more serious injury that could require treatment.

I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar injury in the past? Did just enough time of not using it make it better? Did you fully recover?

TLDR; Hurt my dick using a cock ring. It’s been a while now and it still gets a little sore when I have sex. Looking to see if others have similar experiences.
