Has anyone dealt with a spouse who defaults to yelling during conflict?

I'm curious about others' experiences with this. When a husband (or spouse in general) frequently raises their voice during disagreements, do you think it's usually a stress issue, poor communication habits, unresolved personal struggles, or something else?

To be clear, I'm not saying yelling is okay. Being frustrated doesn't automatically justify speaking to your partner that way.

I'm more interested in understanding the underlying causes. For those who've been in relationships where yelling became a pattern, what was really driving it, and did things ever improve?

Would love to hear different perspectives.
