"Ooo someone dressed up" comments when you wear a skirt/dress

I wore a skirt yesterday because it was too hot for pants, literally a plain solid color *with a t-shirt*, and got multiple "Why are you all dressed up?" "You look so fancy!" "Going somewhere nice?"

No! It's just hot! Skirts can be causal! I'm wearing the same t-shirt I wear with sweats all the time, how is this fancy?
