Sister needs out of Jamaican timeshare

In short, recently found out that my sister has Jamaican timeshare. Bought it about 20 years ago. It's fully paid off, never used. As of 5 years ago she stopped paying the maintenance fees.

Can she just walk away at this point, or will she be pursued here in Canada?
