If you could know one thing about a tenant or landlord beforehand, what would it be?

I'm a solo founder currently exploring problems in the rental space.

One thing I've noticed is that both tenants and property owners often feel like they're taking a leap of faith when entering an agreement.

So I'd love to ask:

What's one thing you wish you had known before renting to someone or renting from someone?

Genuinely curious to hear different perspectives.
