📌Application Tip of the Week (USA)

A low GPA is not automatically the reason an applicant gets rejected.

An unexplained GPA is often the bigger problem.

One of the first things I look at when reviewing an application is not the cumulative GPA.

It is the trend.

Ask yourself:

• Are your grades improving over time?

• How do your last 30-60 credit hours compare to your first 30-60?

• Did you overcome a challenge and demonstrate academic growth?

• What evidence shows you are academically ready today?

A 3.4 GPA with a strong upward trend can tell a very different story than a 3.4 GPA with no improvement.

Admissions committees understand that students can struggle.

What they want to see is evidence of growth, resilience, and readiness.

Before spending thousands of dollars on an application cycle, make sure you understand not only what your GPA is, but what story your GPA is telling.

Question:

If you had to explain your academic journey in one sentence, what would it be?
