Symptom worry.....
- Left calf stiffness for 6 months with a bit reduced flexibility when lifting foot up
- Gait issues
- As of late, leg aches when walking
- Burning sensation around body literally everywhere, jumps around
- Tingling around body
- Now for 1.5 months, gurgling in throat always when swallowing. doesnt seem to be gerd since gerd meds dont do anything about it
- as of late, mixing syllables, mixing r and l letters and words
- muscle ache around body for a few weeks now
- widespread twitching around body, mainly calves and quads, for 8-9 months: feet, legs, shoulders, mouth, eyes, neck, back, stomach, glutes...
- very strong and deep muscle spasms where it feels like my whole big muscle contracts (mainly calves, abdomen, left knee)
- inner buzzing sensation in left foot ever since the stiffness began
- tremor in hands (esp. left) for 10 months, tremor in tongue
- swallowing feels weaker, requires two swallows to get food down
- voice pitch alters randomly for 4months, even more as of late
- limb jerks: whole limb jerks into a random direction when awake and at rest
- sore throat for a few weeks
- abs tremble immediately when doing a sit-up. I dont exercise rn but never had core this weak.
- heartbeat can be felt strongly in limbs at rest
I'm so goddamn scared. Neuro did evaluation and said i had hyperreflexia too. She said my limbs didnt show signs of spasticity though, nor did i show signs of short fiber neuropathy etc. She noted that my left leg was very stiff though. According to google, als stiffness may not always present as spasticity early on. Great...
I'm rn waiting for emg and mri appointments. Bloodwork results are underway, i just pray i have vitamin deficiencies or something to explains at least some symptoms.
I've cried from fear of als. I've stressed like hell for over half a year. I've been annoyed by my own body non-stop.
I'm so scared. I dont want to die. I dont want to lose hope of a brighter future just when i started to have that. I dont want to be a burden, i dont want my family to grieve, i dont want to leave like this, and at the young age of 24.
Nowhere on the internet was it said that estrogen/very low testosterone for 2months could cause side effects like this. Let alone ALS.
I just want peace. But i know the docs will break the bad news for me. And even if emg+mri is normal, this will progress and worsen until i cant even walk anymore.
I just wanted to be happy and have hope. It's not fair to pay with your life for that wish. But life sucks.
