Kids anime for a typical 'boyish' boy?

I babysit a 7 yr old boy. He is very interested in Japan (since it's where Sonic and Mario come from lol) and wants to try some kind of anime.

His interests/fixations are v typically boyish so stuff like Cardcaptor Sakura or Precure (the only 'kids' anime I'm aware of) are off the table:

• Superheroes
• Robots
• Fast cards
• Rescuing beautiful girls from villains
• Princes/knights fighting monsters and dragons

I've read a lot of manga and light novels but I'm not especially familiar with anime. A lot of the series I'm aware of that would slot in to these interests are stuff that I think tends to have a lot of blood (i.e. My Hero Academia; Gundam), I don't think his parents would be happy and he seems to in general be fairly sensitive to anything sad or disturbing. So something specifically aimed at little boys would be best.

He is a very precocious reader so should be able to keep up with the speed of subtitles so okay if there no dub.
