Do you ever get “platonic crushes” on acquaintances or friends?

Just wondering if this is normal or not. I am a straight guy, but I see myself getting non-romantic ”crushes” on other men I want to be better friends with. The end goal isn’t romance or a relationship, but it is the goal of being close friend with this person. But the “symptoms” is the same- nerves or “butterflies,” shyness, and wanting get to know better.
