Carrying my team

I have a loosing streak right now, but I keep ending up in teams where I will have 10+ kills and the rest of my team has 2-3. What dictates this? Does any one have any ideas that I could do to help with this problem? Maybe my squad is just in a weird space with power level and not enough good weapons? My user name is Balius.
