Is this fair for a bouncer to do?

Went to the club after having literally one drink with my friends, the bouncer asked me something like “how you holding with the drink?” I never heard it phrased like that so I had to think about what he meant before I could process it I paused a bit and he said “yeah not today mate, next time”, I was like “what? Dude I didn’t understand what you said” he kept repeating not today and I just said this is bs and I left and he says “yeah go”. Idk if he did that because I was black or something? That’s the first time that’s ever happened to me
