New To Renting

Just came from my first ever look at a new room to rent. It was a man and his wife, and their daughter had just moved out to live on her own. As we got to the room they explained that the door would be fixed. Looked at the door and thought naught of it, since the hallway was so dark. When we got to the room, they mentioned a second time that the door would be fixed. It was the that I saw the gaping hole with an exit. I asked them about it and they said that their daughter's ex-boyfriend did it, because he was on steroids. I don't think they're lying, seeing as they were both too short to make such a hole, unless they superman punched it, or hi-jump kicked it. Understandable. But, I have my trepidation now that I had to ask for details, lol. It was a pretty gaping hole in that door. They seemed quite nice, though.
