Is it worth it to use spells?

Like, there are literally maybe 10 good spells in the game, and I dont really have many of them. Like, the only ones that do more than 1000 damage in 5 seconds are comet, caruan slicer, adult's moonblade and carian piercer. Everything else kinda sucks unless ir doing pvp.
