Booked 18 demos for my SaaS last month using 1 LinkedIn account. Here's the strategy that made it work
The biggest thing I changed was stopping cold outreach entirely. I used to send connection requests to anyone who matched a job title. Reply rates were garbage and I knew it. So I scrapped it and rebuilt around intent signals instead.
Here's what that looks like in practice.
Only reach out when there's a reason
Every message I send is triggered by something. Someone liked a competitor's post. A VP of Sales just started a new role. Someone commented on a piece of content in my niche asking exactly the question my product answers.
These aren't cold touches. They're warm ones. The person already signaled they care about the problem I solve. I'm just showing up at the right time.
The message is short
60 to 70 words max. I reference the signal I found, connect it to what we do, and ask one question. That's it. No feature lists. No deck attached. No "I'd love to connect and share more."
Here's an example:
"Hey Jake, saw your commented on Adam's post about account based marketing. We've built some agents that can handle that whole process from start to finish with zero human involvement in the loop. Open to learning how it works?"
People can tell when a message was written for them versus blasted at them. Keep it specific and keep it short.
Reply rates around 30%
That's not a typo. When you only reach out to people already showing intent the math changes completely. 18 demos in a month off one account came from sending around 700 connection requests total. I use ProspectZero to automate the signal monitoring and outreach so I'm not doing this manually every day.
What I'm not doing
Not buying lists. Not hitting everyone with the same template. Not connecting first and pitching immediately after.
All of that tanks your SSI score and burns your account over time.
The compounding effect
The other thing nobody talks about is how this feeds your content strategy. Every reply, every objection, every demo conversation tells you exactly what your ICP cares about right now. I've built weeks of LinkedIn content just from patterns in these conversations.
Outbound and content aren't separate motions, they should feed each other.
