Progression...
(This might be a long one)
I know... I've posted on here a lot, but i just have so many thoughts going through my head ALL the time π.
I'm only 24, living in the UK. Type 1 diabetic since I was 11, but spent MANY years not looking after my diabetes because of diabetic burnout, now have advanced diabetic retinopathy and SUSPECT gastroparesis.
Currently taking prochlorperazine for the severe nausea, but that's the only symptom I seem to have, I've been this way since the 27th of April and already tried cyclizine and metoclopramide. The next steps for me are an endoscopy on the 26th of June (which I am terrified for π’).
Tonight's front runner thought, and question, is gastroparesis always progressive?
I know a lot of people have it worse than me, but I am absolutely miserable. I'm struggling to see how I can live the rest of my life feeling like this. I'm starting a new job on monday (8th of June), and genuinely struggling to see how I'm going to cope. I'm fed up of my cirrent diet of rich tea biscuits, small amounts of plain pasta, ensure, jelly and some tuna (only just increased my intake to this stuff, before it was just tea biscuits), and have lost 6kg in 3weeks 4 days (went from 58.7kg on the 10th May, to 52.7kg today, 3rd June). And that's all based off of how I've been feeling now, I'm terrified it's only going to get worse/progress π.
Sorry for such a long post, I guess it was a bit of a rant and a question.
