Thoughts on kick-clap/snare layering

I mix techno as a DJ and as a listener/dancer, I really enjoy a heavy kick drum layered with a snare/clap sound on the same beat, giving that very punchy sound. It’s very common so I’ll assume you’ll know what I’m talking about, but some example tracks:

Obsessed - KUSS

(The layered kick is appears 32-64+ bars usually, not throughout the entire track)

Do other people also go crazy for this? Would it be annoying if you were listening to a set at a club and like every other song had this feature?
