Has anyone else here listened to the audio AND read the book?

\*(For some unneeded context:)\*

I suffer from memory loss, so I often have to reread books or rewatch shows and movies to remember what happened in them. It's a pain when book 3/4/5 comes out or a new season or sequels, because I always have to start over from the beginning. Which is what I'm doing with the Empyrean. I haven't read the third book yet, so no spoilers, please.

I have difficulty reading on my own most of the time. It's embarrassing. I used to read every single day when I was a kid, but then I had an accident. My difficulties in reading pushed me away from it for a while. Not being able to get through a sentence I would've been able to skim through easily years ago made me feel like I was stupid. I didn't want to deal with that struggle--I hated it.

But then I discovered Audible later in life. So, with the help of the audios, I could finally read a whole book in one day again. Listening to a narrator (or even better, a whole cast to help remind me who's talking) while I read along with a physical book has given me back my love for books.

\*(Unneeded context over)\*

I noticed something about Iron Flame between the audio and the book. WHOLE sections of the book are missing in the audio. At first, I thought maybe it was a mistake, or I just wasn't listening. But the whole "battle axes in an armoire" analogy is completely gone. A whole page of story. Missing.

Why? I keep having to pause the audio as I'm reading along, feeling like \*\*I'm\*\* the problem because of my difficulties reading, losing my place on the page and feeling that damn anger that I can't read, only to realize I'm not the one who jumbled the words in my brain. It's the audio skipping over whole conversations, hell, whole passages. Details, conversations, etc.

Does anyone know why \*so\* much is missing? The red line I drew on the picture is where the audio stopped and didn't start again until a quarter of the next page down.
