Wedding hall recommendations - Colombo/Negombo, Dec 2027, ~200 guests

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are planning our wedding for December 2027 and could use some local knowledge from people who've recently gotten married or been to weddings around here.

Our situation:

• Guests: around 200
• Date: December 2027 (peak season, so trying to lock things in early)
• Budget: aiming for under LKR 10,000 per plate, LKR 12,000 as an absolute max
• Location: Colombo or Negombo area, or anywhere reasonably close to either
• Band: we're planning a small live band, so a hall with a proper dance floor is a big plus

What I'd love to hear:

• Hall/venue recommendations that fit the above, especially ones with a good dance floor and room for a band
• Honest reviews: food quality, service, hidden costs, how they handled the actual day
• Anything you'd avoid or wish you'd known before booking

We're also after band suggestions. We're currently considering Knights, has anyone hired them or seen them at a wedding? Keen to know if they're worth it, and any other bands you'd recommend for a crowd this size.
