Just finished Alchemised..

I’m sorry. I know I’m late to the party.

But holy shit… I understand this started as a Dramione fic, which is a ship I’ve never been able to get behind. But holy shit… y’all I spent my entire work day devouring this book. I teared up, my heart ached, I got pissed, I celebrated certain events and deaths, I laughed at the mini me “he’s mine!” moment. And the whole time I was prepared for a sad ending because I saw someone say the ending was sad—which really fit the theme of the book because how could their lives possibly have a good ending?

Maybe going in with that expectation was the right thing to do? I normally skim read and miss details but with this one I was able to read slowly. I caught all the throwback moments and other important moments that never happens when I read like I normally do. And all the while I’m waiting for the final leaf to drop and destroy my heart as an ending and it never came. Ugh. I’m so so happy. I just needed to share with someone.
