Can I monetize this extension I made with affiliate links?

A while ago I made a Chrome/Firefox extension that shows how overvalued or undervalued Pokemon cards are on eBay by showing a small banner:

When a user clicks the banner, it shows the full price (with postage) compared to the valuation price from Pricecharting.

I didn't release it because it stopped working at one point, but I'm sure I could easily get it working again.

Is there any way I can monetise this with eBay affiliate links?

My thoughts are:

• Turn every listing with a banner into an affiliate link

Probably against eBay partner rules, but I'm not sure.

• Have an affiliate link to the listing in the banner information when the user clicks the banner.

Would probably be allowed, but most users would just click through the listing normally instead of using my link.

I think the idea is good and people would find it useful, I'm just not sure how to monetise it. Any ideas?
