Computer recommendations for college?

Hi! I’m looking to get a good computer for the upcoming school year, preferably under $300 and will last me at least 2 years out of the 4… I don’t have much money to spend but I really want to go back and get my degree, I genuinely don’t know anything about computers and how much of each thing you’d need it to run for college classes, hoping someone can recommend one they currently use! (I’m in the US if that matters at all lol)
