Is this a feature

This sounds weird but it is NOT a joke post, this happened in undertale too. I sometimes watch my friend Ben on discord calls play deltarune. And the characters play the game by themselves except for fights. Sometimes either while he’s playing or somewhere else the characters walk by themselves until they reach a fight and then they stop. It doesn’t seem like lag either as the characters interact with things. If this isn’t a feature I swear im not crazy
