[SERIOUS] A skeptic's thoughts on what real "disclosure" would probably sound like, including my take on what may be "indigestible" about it.

Discussion :table:

Hello, everyone. I hope you're all having a wonderful day.

I have been chatting with some wonderful folks in Discord and I'd like to share my brief thoughts here for discussion.

Like most of you, probably, I'm here because it's a fun, fascinating topic and I so badly want it to be true that "aliens" are vising Earth. That would be terrifying, but also very exciting! I've had dreams about it my entire life and it's my favorite science-fiction trope. It'd be the biggest, most impactful news that our species would ever deal with. Like some of you, however, I'm not convinced that it is happening... or at the very least I don't believe the claims of "recovered craft" or "recovered bodies" etc.

It would make sense to me that some governments/military might have better evidence of "the unknown" than anyone else because most big governments have been spending countless money for decades and decades on technology to observe, track, and record... like extremely advanced radar systems and whatnot, most of which are highly classified. However, I ultimately think if we really are being observed or visited by intelligence from "elsewhere" ...they are capable of things beyond our understanding and I'd bet that governments everywhere know virtually nothing. Outside of aforementioned better video evidence or data that might exist, I think if we got a 100% truth written statement of disclosure, this is how it would go:

"We have no idea what they are, where they're from, how they got here, or why they've been here. All we know is there's nothing we can do about it."

I think that very truth is also what would be so "indigestible" about it for a lot of people. Personally it would be an "it is what it is" kind of thing for me, but imagine knowing for sure that there's intelligent species poking around and they're significantly above what we humans are capable of thinking or achieving... like how a colony of ants is oblivious to the fact that a bored human child could use their vision correcting lenses to slaughter countless numbers of them and walk away, never giving it a second thought.
