pgLang, fool

I was having a conversation maybe a week or two ago about pgLang with my brother. I had basically expressed that I wished they were signing more artists and collaborating to expand their sound/ vision.

After Imani Imani just dropped that beautiful debut project, I decided to make a playlist of all the releases that are licensed under pgLang. And man, I was being unfair 😭

For some reason, I felt like they hadn’t produced much material. Maybe it’s because they’re a group of three (maybe four, I don’t know what’s going on w Tanna) but I really didn’t think they had produced much. But that playlist is 5 and a half hours long and they genuinely just started maybe 5 years ago?

What would you guys like to see from pgLang going forward? (aside from the hats, please hook us up Dave.)

Personally, I really think they have the tools to do a label collab tape. They could hit literally every box in house. Could even spice it up and do a ROTD3 style collab tape that enables all the less known artists to collab with big names and reach new audiences.

I would love to see some more people signed to the label stat. La Reezy from NOLA comes to mind. Or even scout for a UK artist similar to Dave.
