Travel with dog in cabin from Toronto to Abu Dhabi

Has anyone travelled with Etihad Airways from Toronto to Abu Dhabi with a dog in cabin? Could you please share what documents are required for entry into Abu Dhabi and for returning back to Canada? Any guidance or personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
