West Tokyo Metal Bros- The manga shown above, a recent manga in Mangaplus that doesn't seem very popular, the premise is of a shy lonely teen boy from a rustic area that has loved all kinds of metal in his life and practices his electric guitar at home finally deciding to embrace his love of metal and become a musician and start a band.

His family was against it, but after he rushed to a stage to help deal with a bear attack(more there was a sick guitar in the stage that he didn't want to see destroyed and tried to save it) they were like...yeah, he can be a metal musician.

It's also what makes him known and popular in-universe, people recorded it and others talk to him more and think he is awesome...in fairness, he played metal so hard he made a bear feel metal spirits attack it and run away.

And yeah, the manga just casually names songs and bands, i don't think it's popular enough to get an anime at all, in which i case i bet all references would go away, but it's kinda fun just seeing them reference some stuff i would never expect from a manga, like Haruo saying he practiced the Animetal Cover of one Haruhi Suzumiya song...that is explicitily stated in the manga, outright mentions Animetal and the guitarist at the time by name because Haruo just likes Animetal that much too.

...All i am saying is, this manga quickly has a kid doing metal so hard it scares a bear away and mentions Animetal and their cover of God Knows...it should be a bit more popular than it is.
