Why is it always "autistic raccoon", not "raccoon with autism"?

Modern psychiatry and it's language is already enough of a problematic hate cult. The very word "autism" is too vague to be useful in my opinion. But for the sake of discussion, I must say that even if we were to accept that the term "autism" is useful and precise, why must it be "autistic raccoon" and not "raccoon with autism"? Totally giving the same vibes as old school homophobia - when a homophobe might be two-faced between calling undue attention to someone's sexuality as inherant to their being, while also sometimes downplaying their sexuality as a sort of illness separate from the person. Hateful double-speak.
