Pa soft 1.4 not detecting dme or egs

I’ve been having issues using PA soft 1.4 on my 05 325i. When I go to scan, it does not detect the dme or egs modules as well as some other ones. I have the key in position 1, checked the 7&8 connectors are bridged, and cleaned the contacts. Is there a way to fix this?
