Question about returning to Destiny 2

Hello all!

After hearing the extremely awful recent news that Destiny is being shut down (temporarily shut down… hopefully.. I’m coping with everyone too don’t worry), I have decided I finally want to return to Destiny 2. I played hundred of hours of Destiny 1 as a kid and the same can be said for Destiny 2! But I stopped playing right around when Forsaken came out and I decided to buy all of the dlc that came out since then because it was literally $25 for all of it from green man gaming. Now I want to definitely go through all of the dlc and have fun experiencing everything I missed over the years, but I am receiving mixed information on whether or not I should start with Renegades and power my character up and then go back and play all the other dlcs, or if I should just go in order from Forsaken onwards ending with Renegades. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
