Lubiprostone failing to keep me regular

Asked my GI if I could try the higher dose. I'm only on 8mg. It worked for maybe the first couple of weeks but not anymore. I may as well not be taking it. I think she is considering putting me on something different cause I got a call from her nurse asking me questions about my constipation.

I'm not in a lot of pain yet (the hemorrhoid in my rectum keeps getting irritated and painful tho) and little to nothing is coming out. I tried pairing the meds with a fiber supplement which I think made things worse (I also have gastroparesis so maybe that's why).

I'm just tired now. Took some milk of magnesia to help give me a bowel movement but I really hope what we try next actually continues to work. I feel it's almost worse that I got a taste of normalcy when it comes to bowel movements. I forgot what it was like being able to go. How nice I felt.
