My list keeps growing

Husband here, and I've taken on the mental load of organising most of the stuff that we need for our first.

Now, I know I have a tendency to be a perfectionist and also, our baby isn't here yet and I already feel like I'm spoiling her, but man do I keep buying things.

Going into this, I was certain that I would only buy the necessary things, and I consulted so many online lists and posts where people were like, "this is all you'll need".

At that stage, it all made sense, and it felt like things weren't gonna get out of hand.

Now, this isn't to say I've walked into Baby Bunting like Donald Trump walks into a McDonalds, but just when I thought I had bought most things, I realised I needed a diaper caddy, and a change table, and a white noise machine would be useful, and extra bedding.

And I totally get that, like our midwife said, "as long as you've got a cardboard box, you'll be fine" (she was joking... I hope) and that people survive the first newborn stage with far less than what we have, and that by the time you're onto your third one, as long as they aren't actively on fire things will sort themselves out fine, but man, I feel like there is always something else I need, like snot suckers or nail trimmers.

Just wondering, does anyone else find this? That the 'essential lists' are oftentimes too bare-boned?

Or am I just already spoiling our little munchkin?
