Thoughts on the new 4* Legendary TARNISHED
At a glance, it seems impossible to use practically, but I want to throw out some ideas on how someone could make a viable build with it.
The immediate problem is that, assuming it functions similarly to bloodied and aristocrat, it will be impossible to keep it within that last percentage of durability that yields the maximum damage boost. Here are some solutions I thought of:
With that being said, I think the easiest strategy would be to maximize the weapon's durability to make that percentage represent a larger amount of durability. To do this, apply durability buffs like 3* legendary Durable and try the Weapon Artisan perk to see if it considers the stacked duration as the maximum or if it simply puts that extra durability past the maximum.
Then apply degradation buffs like Gunsmith for -50% durability reduction per shot.
After all that, Use Luck of The Draw to give your weapon a chance to repair itself upon striking an enemy. To my knowledge, this does not scale with luck, so there's no way to control how much it repairs your gun other than how often that gun fires. The most important thing is that the gun is able to enter a positive loop of repair or very closely maintain the same position. If the durability exceeds the maximum damage boost threshold, de-equip the perk and let it degrade again.
That's my idea. I don't know if I got everything here, but I'd be happy to hear some better ideas.
