[Ds lite] digitizer latch broke off

I was doing a ds lite shell swap and the digitizer latch/clamp broke off. I still got the digitizer seated but idk if it needs pressure to work properly. The touch screen doesn't work so my guess is yes, but could there be other issues happening here?
