What is with the dating apps here?

I'm just wondering if this is normal for the area or just me. I'm a straight male in my 30s. Back in California, I had no luck on Bumble or Tinder, perhaps a couple matches a month. The good thing is that since I moved here, my number of matches has gone up significantly, perhaps a few a week. But the flip side is that a lot of the women are very, let's say demanding. They want first dates at nice restaurants, and often "suggest" gifts or flowers that I should bring. A couple have asked me to send them an Uber to pick them up.

Is that normal for this area or is it just my matches?
