Seller vs Vendor

I don’t know if anyone else has started to feel like Amazon has been more stubborn recently but this year has been difficult to work with our reps and get problems solved. We are contemplating being a seller to get more control of our listings but unsure if we are fully understanding the trade offs between the two ways of selling. If we were to start transitioning back to a Seller what should I expect the day to day, and level of engagement from Amazon to be?
