0.625mg of amlodipine accidentally given to wrong cat

We have a cat who takes thyroid medication and blood pressure medicine. He had a final sliver of medication in his food. My back was turned momentarily and it was gone, and I realized our other, non-hypertensive cat was right there. Either cat could have eaten it, and it was possibly not even the amlodipine but a sliver of thyroid medication.

I reached out to the telehealth line from our vet and the answer was to immediately take my guy Joe to urgent care to induce vomiting. I called an emergency vet ten minutes down the road, and the tech who answered was very nice. He said he didnt think bringing Joe in was the best idea because inducing vomiting with their agent could be an ordeal and Joe would probably be okay. He took Joe’s weight (I said 10-11 but just checked from his visit last week and that says 12) and placed me on hold. When he came back he says the er doctor says Joe probably won’t have any issues at all based on his weight and the low dose, and they sad to monitor for lethargy, diarrhea, and vomiting, but said it probably wouldn’t happen. He did ask if Joe has any underlying conditions- he does have FeLV but the gentleman told me that shouldn’t matter as it doesn’t impact the things that the medication does. Joe did also have bloodwork last week and th vet said it was “remarkably good” and she was very happy with it and thinks Joe is very healthy. The guy on the phone was very reassuring, and the telehealth service through my vet does kinda suck after hours, but I’m still really worried if I should try to get him to another urgent care. And if I shouldn’t, how long should I monitor. I feel horrible. If anybody has any advice or thoughts it would mean the world.
