CMV: Veganism/vegetarianism is a harmful concept to all of life, and harms all life.
I was watching a tik tok of a girl showing off a pelt of a coyote she had hunted, and the comments were filled with people who described themselves as vegan or vegetarian saying that she was evil and wrong for killing an animal to “show off its pelt”, and that no matter what, killing an animal is wrong.
Personally, I think vegans/vegetarians cause more harm to the world. Hunting is something needed for the balance of life. Life cannot exist without death. Hunting for sport, I don’t agree with, however hunting for food and to use the resources is completely okay and should be more encouraged.
Species can overpopulate and ruin the environment, which is why there is predators and prey. The prey eat the grass and plants, so the predators eat the prey which in turn prevents the plants from being over eaten. It’s a clear balance that must be protected and maintained.
These vegans/vegetarians are wearing polyester and other manmade fabrics, which is worse for the environment to make in a factory than it is to kill an animal and wear its hide.
I think being a vegan/vegetarian is an extremely privileged take that I’ve noticed mostly white people take on. (I am white also btw). It makes me think of how those people would view the indigenous tribes of America, and that view is obviously extremely racist. You cannot support a group of people while also actively saying what they do is evil.
