[Discussion] How do you guys handle needlessly grindy achievements that don't fit in with "normal gameplay"
One of the games I'm working on is Digimon World Next Order, and I have every achievement except for the "Complete Digicards." I'm at 210 digicards... out of 540. I got ~150 naturally from beating the game up to post game, and now that I have every other achievement (and the fact that you only get them from resource points) means to get the remaining 330 Digicards, I have to just run around and collect from resource points... and that's it. Sure I can mix in fighting and stuff, but with high level digimon pretty much anything in my path gets destroyed in 1-2 hits. I could go do dungeons - but those have very few resource points.
I'm just mentally stuck trying to figure out if I should brute force my way through, or do it casually (like make myself do 1-2 runs per day). I get probably 10 to 15 cards per run. last run I did was 10 cards takes roughly 15 mins.
So, when it comes to achievements like the one I mentioned, where its almost completely irrelevant to the core, heck even secondary, gameplay elements - how do y'all manage?
