Counting down the days until I see my wife again: 19

The woman I love is coming to see me. We got some tough news today :( We had a consultation this morning with an immigration attorney to get some clarification on the process of getting me there permanently. The good news is we have a clear path forward and should have everything we need to convince the authorities that our relationship is authentic. The bad news is, we’re much farther off on the financial requirements than we thought, and nearly £10k we have saved actually doesn’t count towards the income requirement. Since my income is entirely US-based it doesn’t count for shit, leaving my beloved to bear the entirety of that burden, meaning she has to find a better job. Alas, we can’t even get started on that right away, since in addition to her visiting me this month, she has another vacation not long after that, so she can’t commit to a new job until August.
