Costco Citi Card before SW Chase Card?

Hello!

Planning to apply for SW chase credit card for companion pass by end of this year but since I don’t have a long credit history, I’m thinking about opening Costco citi card now. Is that going to benefit me and improve my chances when I apply for SW chase credit card or I should wait on the Costco citi card? Paying bills on time is something I can manage.
