Struggle in a binary world

Question/Discussion

Hi all !

For a bit of context, I'm french. French is a heavily gendered language, to the point that there's almost no neutral words to describe someone, or they are really niche/uncommon.

I consider myself as a non-binary demi-girl now, but I first considered myself as a agender enby. I made my CO around 2023 but boymodded most of the time, and started HRT only last year in Octobre 2025. I was still kind of boymodding, but a little less and I let myself be more feminine in a lot of areas, as well as asking everyone to stop using masc language about me. Thing is, in february I started dressing full fem, skirts only, nice tops, no more military pants etc... I also shaved my beard and started trying make up (which I'm good at putting on apparently).

Now is my "mental dilema" : for a lot of people, I've become a full trans women. Hey, good thing right ? I'm not a man and all ! Yeah, right. Problem is, I'm not sure if I like it ? I switched my self description to demi-girl 'cause I like the fem aspect of things and all, but I'm unsure if I'm fully ok with the perception people can have of me. Still figuring stuff out I guess ?

I don't know what I'm looking for by posting this here, maybe just to vent a bit, maybe some relatable story from my transfem friends ?

In any cases, I wish all of us a good pride month, and remember y'all : the first pride was a riot ;)
