[F4M] The Knight and the Healer
Hello! Looking for a writing partner for this plot. I will only rp on Reddit.
The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm, golden glow over the small village of Tunstead. Its modest cottages dotted the landscape, each with a garden bursting with late summer blooms and fragrant herbs. One such garden belonged to Lily, a woman known for her gentle hands and knowledge of healing plants.
She knelt in the soft soil, carefully clipping sprigs of rosemary and thyme, her basket already half-filled with lavender and sage. The air was alive with the hum of bees, and the occasional chirp of birds echoed through the stillness.
Just as she reached for a stalk of chamomile, the distant sound of hooves broke through the tranquility. Lily straightened, brushing loose strands of auburn hair from her face as she peered down the dirt path leading from the forest. A horse emerged, its gait unsteady, sides heaving with exertion. Upon its back slumped a man, barely upright, his head lolling with each step of the weary animal.
Lily’s breath caught as the horse staggered closer. The man was clad in armor, streaked with blood and dirt. A jagged wound stretched across his side, seeping through the torn fabric of his tunic. His face, though handsome in a rugged, weathered way, was pale as death.
“Hells above,” she whispered, dropping her basket and running toward the staggering pair.
The horse came to a halt, almost as if sensing her presence, and the man swayed before slipping from the saddle. Lily darted forward, catching part of his heavy frame with a grunt as they both sank to the ground.
“I’ve got you,” Lily said, her voice steady despite the racing of her heart. “You’ll be alright.”
She glanced toward the forest, half expecting others to appear, but they were alone. Turning her attention back to him, Lily pressed her hand against his wound, her fingers already stained with blood.
She needed to act quickly.
“Hold on,” she murmured, determination flaring in her chest. “You’re not dying on my watch.” Her eyes looked around just as her brother luckily came to visit her. “Evan!” she called out to him and the young man tensed as he saw them before running over to them. “Hells Lily, who the fucks this?” He asked as she motioned him to help her carry him into her cottage. He helped her place him on the bed inside, and Lily got to work by trying to remove his chest piece first to assess the damage. “Grab his horse and place him in the stables.”she instructed him and Evan nodded and left the house.
