Melatonin

Hi guys I have some trouble sleeping through time zone change and the noises at night. I was in a pharmacy yesterday and saw the sell melatonin but with 10mg! That is much did some of you tried it here? Any side effects I have to deal with taking it? In Germany the common dosage is 1-2mg max
