Camping on portland city land is no longer allowed. Do not come here for that.
The mayor has said they have the capacity to shelter now. If you are coming from Arizona and Nevada cause it’s too hot down there now, I just want to warn you that the government land inside the city of Portland is not BLM or national park. You can no longer just set up camp under a pretty tree. They will remove you. Whether we agree with that or not, it will happen. As a resident, I am seeing it a lot. The tents don’t last for more than a week. And if you came from out of town, they will “reunite you with your family”. Just a warning.
