Men Wedding Band Material

I'm looking to do a custom piece for my wedding band (men's) and need help with what material I want.

What I am looking for is a gunmetal / darker grey color for the band. The platinum is too bright for my liking and expensive. However, I spoken with different jewelry stores and they do not do titanium or recommend zirconium and that's may be part due to the design I am going for.

My idea design:

- Edges: Beveled edges with a knurled / criss-cross texture pattern
- Center Face: Brushed finish with a flush star/starburst setting
The starburst setting, I would like lab diamonds.
