ISO: Additional Crew & a LSM/Boom Op for a one day shoot near Burbank

Hi all!

I’m assembling a crew to shoot a comedic short in July and am in need of a sound person for a day. It’ll be an indoor shoot targeting the weekend of the 25th. The entire scene takes place in a stationary vehicle shot against a rear projection screen and has a total of two actors (the driver and his passenger in the backseat).

To be fully transparent, I am self financing this short and the location already has me over budget. But thankfully, due to the generosity of the crew, I can still make the film because everyone on board will be there on a collaborative basis. If you’re not willing to volunteer your time and expertise, what’s the minimum amount you’d accept to capture sound for a day? What do you feel is necessary to record in this type of setting and what equipment can you bring?

I can assure you I’m not only about taking from others. I can and will return the favor should you need a PA or someone on the creative side (acting/screenwriting). I also plan to help those who’ve helped me so that may ultimately outweigh a day rate.

I can send the script to you before committing to decide if it’s worth your time (I’m a contest winning screenwriter who had multiple projects in Coverfly’s top 1%). And of course meals, IMDb credit, and all that jazz will be provided.

Also, these are the current positions I have locked in:
Director/DoP
Gaffer
Grip
1st AC (?)

If you’re not a location sound mixer, but interested in joining us, let me know what other role you’d be down to fill. Thank you all!
